Grandmas Oldfashsion Banana Cake


Oldfashsion Banana Cake

Grandma's Oldfashsion Banana Cake is amazingly simple and delicious.


INGREDIENTS:

1 1/2 cups Splenda Granulated sugar
1/2 cup Can't Believe it's Not Butter
3 large eggs
7 Tablespoons whole milk
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 3/4 cups flour
1  cup mashed bananas
1  vanilla icing

DIRECTIONS:

Cream butter, add sugar gradually; cream until light in color and fluffy.

Separate egg yokes and place yokes in a small bowl and egg whites in another small bowl; beat yokes until thick and lemon colored and whites thoroughly.

In a large bowl combine flour and baking powder mix together.

In another large bowl sift flour mixture into the bowl, do this five times; this process creates cake flour.

Pour egg yokes into the sugar mixture.

Add one cup of flour at a time slowly mix until thoroughly creamed.

Add milk and vanilla slowly until thoroughly creamed.

Add the mashed bananas to egg whites  mix well then fold into the cake mixture.

Bake in three round layers in oven at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes.

Let cool remove from baking rounds.

Assemble layer with icing between each layer; spread icing around edges and sides.

Sprinkle with chopped nuts optional serve.

White Chocolate Blueberry Bourbon Dessert





Best "White Chocolate Blueberry Bourbon Dessert" recipe that I have tried so far did it exactly and it is great plus EASY to make, are absolutely delicious.

Ingredients

Crust


1 box Vanilla wafers
3⁄4 cup butter, melted
1 cup chopped almonds

Filling


3 boxes white chocolate pudding mix
4 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla or lemon extract

Blueberry Bourbon Sauce

3 cups blueberries
1 1⁄2 cup sugar
1⁄4 cup Jameson or favorite bourbon
1⁄4 cup honey



Directions

Preheat oven to 350̊

Blend all ingredients for crust in food processor. 

Press crust in 11 x 13 inch baking dish or pie pan.

Bake until lightly browned.

Mix filling ingredients until thickened with a whisk or electric mixer.

Pour pudding filling into baked crust, and refrigerate until sauce is ready.

Blend all sauce ingredients in food processor until smooth.

Simmer in medium saucepot until thickened to a soft ball stage.

Cool to room temperature before carefully pouring onto pudding filling.

Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours to allow dessert to set.

Key Lime Coconut Bars


Life’s a beach with luscious Lemon Supreme cake mix, flaky coconut and Key Lime frosting creations. 



Ingredients

1 pkg. Duncan Hines® Lemon Supreme cake mix
2 large eggs
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
1/2 teaspoon coconut extract
1 cup + 1/2 cup sweetened flaked coconut, separated
1 can of Duncan Hines® frosting creations™ Frosting Starter
1 packet of Duncan Hines® frosting creations™ Key Lime Flavor Mix


Directions

Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease or line a 9 x 13 pan with non-stick foil.

Mix cake mix, eggs, melted butter, coconut extract and 1 cup of flaked coconut together in a large bowl.

Using your fingers, press dough evenly into pan.


Bake for 18 minutes. Cool completely.




Spread remaining 1/2 cup of coconut on a sheet pan and toast in the 350°F oven for 5-8 minutes, checking coconut often to prevent burning. 

Remove from oven when coconut is lightly toasted.

Pour packet of Duncan Hines® frosting creations™ Key Lime Flavor Mix into can of Duncan Hines® frosting creations™ Frosting Starter. 

Stir until evenly blended.

Frost bars with Key Lime frosting you just created. 

Cut into bars then sprinkle toasted coconut on top of each bar.
