California Citrus Sangria

Citrus Sangria

California Citrus Sangria is the perfect cocktail for a warm summer's evening.

Ingredients

3 bottles Pinot Grigio or a white wine you enjoy drinking
1 1/2 cups brandy
3/4 cup Smirnoff Orange Vodka
1/2 cup sugar
1 orange, thinly sliced
1 blood orange, thinly sliced
3 kumquats, sliced
1 lime, thinly sliced

Directions

In a large pitcher, combine the wine, brandy, and orange vodka.

Pour in the sugar, stir or shake the pitcher thoroughly to mix.

Add all citrus slices at once.

Allow the mixture to sit for 1 hour before serving to allow the citrus flavor to come through.

Sparkling Raspberry Sangria

"Sparkling Raspberry Sangria" is sweet and tangy as well as quick and easy to prepare.

Ingredients

1 bottle (750 ml) Arbor Mist Raspberry Sparkling Wine
1 cup raspberry vodka
2 tablespoons sugar
1 1/2 cups raspberries
1 1/2 cups quartered strawberries
1 sliced lemon
1 1/2 cups Schweppes Ginger Ale

Directions

Mix the wine, liqueur and sugar in a pitcher, stirring to dissolve the sugar, then add the fruit.

Refrigerate at least 1 hour and up to 2 days. The longer you let it sit the better it will taste, so I always make mine two days in advance.

Add the Schweppes Raspberry Ginger Ale

Serve.

This is a strong drink, if you want less alcohol use less vodka.
