Cranberry Apple Relish



This Cranberry Apple Relish recipe is not only easy to make it is just down-right delicious especially with the addition of apples.


Ingredients

2 (12 oz.) bags of cranberries (rinsed)
1 apple, peeled, cored, and finely diced
1 Tablespoon grated naval orange peel
1 cup orange juice
3 cups white 

Directions

First grate the peel of the orange.

In a stock pot add sugar and orange juice and bring to a boil.

Stir often, when the sugar has melted reduce the heat to a gentle boil.

Add cranberries and apples simmer for about 16 minutes or until cranberries pop. 

Add grated naval orange peel simmer 8 minutes.

Remove from heat and cool to room temperature.

Top with walnuts and a parsley leaf, serve.


Ghoulish Hell-Hound Meatloaf


"Ghoulish Hell-Hound Meatloaf" will become your favorite go to recipe. It's easy to make and delicious plus it includes a yummy ketchup based topping. 


Ingredients

2 pounds lean ground beef
1 teaspoon Sea Salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
4 cloves garlic; minced
1 teaspoon fresh basil; minced
1 medium red bell pepper; diced
1 medium red onion; diced
1/2 teaspoon fresh parsley; minced
2 large eggs
1/4 cup A1 Stake Sauce
2 Tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 large yellow onion; sliced

Topping Ingredients

1 cup ketchup
2 Tablespoon Grandma’s Molasses
1 Tablespoon French's Mustard

Directions

Line the bottom of the crock pot with the slices of yellow onion.

Pour in 1 1/4 cups of water or beef broth.

In a large bowl mix together all meatloaf ingredients well.

Shape the mixture into a large loaf; like a loaf of bread.

Place the loaf on top of the onions in the crock pot.

Mix together the topping ingredients and spread over the loaf.

Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 2-3 hours.


Oven Directions

  1. Place a rack in the center of the oven and preheat the oven to 375 F.

Line the bottom of a large ceramic baking dish with the slices of yellow onion.

Pour in 1 cups of water or beef broth.

Shape the mixture into a large loaf; like a loaf of bread.

Place the loaf on top of the onions in the baking dish.

Mix together the topping ingredients and spread over the loaf.

Cover and cook about 2 hours or until done.

Remove and let rest 8-10 minutes.

Serve.

Garden Fairy Sweet Sweet Potato Soup



Easy to make and taste absolutely delicious, plus the black beans and orange sweet potatoes look great together for Halloween.



Ingredients

3 large sweet potatoes; diced
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon clove powder
1 medium red onion; finely chopped
1 Tablespoon fresh garlic; minced
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 can (15 oz.) black beans; rinsed
3 cups Pacific Vegetable Broth
2 Tablespoons I Can't Believe It's Not Butter
1 (8 oz.) container sour cream
Fresh cilantro; chopped
1 (8 oz.) container sour cream.


Directions


In a large skillet add butter and onion.

Sweat the onions on medium heat for 5-7 minutes and add to crock pot.

Add the rest of the ingredients and stir.

Cover with lid and cook on LOW 6-8 hours.

Mash some of the potatoes against the side of the crock pot.

Stir until blended.

Serve topped with a dollop of sour cream and sprinkle with cilantro.

Creepy Halloween Desserts

Gruesome French Vanilla Coffee Éclair Cake


These delicious gruesome éclairs will be the talk of Halloween your party.


Ingredients

1 package graham crackers
1 can vanilla pudding
1 8 oz. container non-dairy whipped topping
2-3 Tablespoons instant coffee
1 can French Vanilla frosting
2 dozen French Vanilla Coffee Earthworms
Chocolate syrup

Directions

  1. In 9 x 13 inch pan place a layer of graham crackers.
  2. In a medium bowl combine the pudding, whipped topping and Dandy Blend.
  3. Spoon half of this mixture over the cracker layer and spread out smooth.
  4. Place another layer of crackers over this layer and top with the remaining pudding mixture.
  5. Smooth out.
  6. Top with another layer of crackers, covering the pudding
  7. layer completely.
  8. Spread carefully with the frosting.
  9. Drizzle chocolate on it.
  10. Top with French Vanilla Coffee Earthworms
  11. Cover and refrigerate overnight

Spiced Cranberries Jelly


This Spiced Cranberry Jelly is out of this world good. Toasted bagel with cream cheese and this spiced cranberry jelly... DELICIOUS!



Ingredients

4 cups cranberries
5 whole cloves
5 whole allspice
2 cinnamon sticks
2 blades mace
3 cups white sugar
  Cold water


Directions

Remove bad berries and wash with cold water.

Place the berries in a medium sauce pan and cover with cold water.

Tie cloves, allspice, cinnamon, and mace in a cheese cloth bag.

Drop the bag of spices into the sauce pan with the cranberries.

Bring to a boil and simmer until the cranberries burst.

Remove the bag of spices.

Add sugar and cook until the mixture is clear.

Chill for 2-4 hours.

Serve.

Bloody Brain Appetizer


Turn classic cocktail shrimp into a gruesome Halloween hoarded appetizer.


INGREDIENTS

3 pounds large shrimp, peeled, deveined, and cooked
1 1/4 tablespoon powdered gelatin
1 teaspoon finely grated fresh horseradish
1 1/4 teaspoon sea salt
1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
3/4 teaspoon Old Bay seasoning
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 ketchup

DIRECTIONS

Arrange shrimp in a 6 1/2- to 7-cup brain-shaped mold with tails facing upwards in vertical rows.

Fill a glass bowl with 1 2/3 cups cold water; sprinkle gelatin over water and let stand 5 minutes. 

In a small saucepan, cook gelatin mixture over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, until gelatin has dissolved. 

Whisk in lemon juice, horseradish, sea salt, Old Bay, and cayenne pepper until well combined.

Pour gelatin mixture over shrimp in mold. 

Cover with plastic wrap, pressing down on the surface. 

Fit a plate into mold and weight with cans. 

Refrigerate until set, about 5 hours.

Invert mold onto a serving platter; serve with cocktail sauce.

Prepared cocktail sauce, for serving

Bloody Brain Shooter


This cerebellum cocktail shooter only takes a few ingredients. The morbid mass of floating gray tissue matter is bloodcurdling.



Ingredients


1-1/2 oz. peach schnapps
1-1/2 oz. Baileys Irish cream
Dash of grenadine



Directions


Pour peach schnapps into a glass. 

Slowly add the Baileys Irish cream. 

Top with a dash of grenadine.


Serve.

Classic Potato Salad


America’s favorite side dish is this Classic Potato Salad. This recipe is a nice choice for picnics, Barbecues and pot luck meals, the classic combination of ingredients makes a big favorite among family and friends.


Ingredients

5 to 6 medium russet potatoes peeled; cut into ¾ inch chunks
2 hard-boiled eggs, chopped
1 cup Hellmann’s mayonnaise
1 Tablespoon French’s mustard
1 cup thinly diced celery
1/2 cup diced yellow onion
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Directions

Cover potatoes with water in 4-quart saucepot; bring to a boil over medium-high heat.

Reduce heat to low and simmer 10 minutes or until potatoes are fork-tender.

Drain and cool slightly.

Gently toss potatoes, mayonnaise, celery, onion, salt, pepper and eggs.


Serve chilled or at room temperature.
